Automatic and manual driving lessons and intensive courses

Provided by the Folkestone Driving School
Part of The Big Red L Company

The Folkestone Driving School has 8 experienced driving instructors:

Robbie Wilde

Our best find of 2005 - Robbie currently holds our number 1 position for pupil retention, this must means his pupils like him! Since joining us he has had far more recomendations than other newer instructors. Robbie looks after all our automatic pupils.

Peter Blight

We head hunted this guy from a National School in December 2005 to help cope with the demand for intensive driving courses. A man of many talents and well able to help you through your driving test. He has set up a niche market for the more challenging pupils He runs this under the banner of 'Peter Blight's Driving Skills', But is still very much a part of The Big Red L Company - He has more recommendations than any other instructor. We have even checked all the testimonial entries on our web site and yes - they are all genuine!!

Andy Brown

We call this fella 'Mr Competitive' because he likes getting the highest pass rate, with his pupils taking the fewest hours to pass. He's always willing to squeeze in extra lessons when asked to by his pupils.

David Mastin  David is new to the Big Red L but has been a successful instructor with The AA for 3 years: he qualified in 2004.He has taught many different types of students from a 65 year old French Nun to squaddies in Aldershot!

Chris Whitehead How can we decribe Chris try friendly and effective! He has been an associate instructor since early 2009 and has climbed on board as one of our Gold Franchisees - The Best!

Our local associate instructors are -

Jonathan Stringer

Mark Glover

Mark is wonderful, or so his pupils say! He is one of our associate driving instructors in Folkestone and has, over the past year built an excellent reputation for excellence. (I'd be criticised for that sort of phrase by my old English teacher!) But well worth every penny.

We have either trained these guys or they are former franchised instructors that we both know well and can fully trust.

Tony Simcock

If you are really stuck then Tony Simcock, the overall director, boss, head honcho type person will often be on hand to help out

On the Monday 1st March, I passed my driving test on my second attempt. This is due to the excellent teaching of my driving instructor - Peter Blight. He is patient, understanding and dedicated; therefore I would recommend that anyone considering learning to drive choose him as their instructor.
