About Tony Simcock and The Folkestone Driving School

Some one said of me once that I was ' respectfully quirky and totally brilliant'. Tony Simcock - Driving Instructor for FolkestoneI really don't know what that means, but I guess this particular pupil enjoyed their lessons!

I had my half hour of fame back in 2005 when the BBC hired me to teach Paul O'Grady for the Celebrity Driving School Programme in aid of Comic Relief; In fact it was 6 half hours of prime time viewing - Unfortunately this sort of fame is fleeting and I've not ever been asked for my autograph.

Back to the subject in hand - On the driving test treadmill I've been churning out test passes since the dawn of time, well, at least before many of you were born. The good news for you is that after all this time I still love it, I am still passionate about erasing shoddy driving from the face of the planet and will give each of you exceptional value. I'm currently graded by the DSA/government as in the top 2% of UK driving instructors and have a test pass rate to match.

If you are looking intensive driving courses then simply click the link for UK wide intensives.

If you are looking for quality driving lessons in Folkestone at really good prices you have definitely come to the right place! We can cater for everyone's needs with a wide range of driving courses - from 1 lesson a week right up to a full intensive driving course.

So what ever you want, simply call us on 01303 279755 to discuss your requirements.

I don't advertise much any more, I don't get pupils to fill in testimonials (while I watch) and I don't give big discounts. I'm also stuck in the office for more time than I care for and like the occasional pupil to bring a smile back to my face.

When I'm not teaching I run The Big Red L Company, a nationwide collective of the most brilliant instructors I can find - You see not all driving instructors are the same, believe it or not, some are much better than others! I currently have about 650 associate driving instructors who cover every nook and cranny of the UK, mainly delivering Intensive Driving Courses, but often regular weekly sessions as well.

In my spare time (if that's what you call it) I am on the leadership team of Cheriton Baptist Church, a director of Vine Books in Folkestone, a director of Seapoint Canoe and Kayak Centre in Seabrook and Chairperson of Asha Kiran UK, a charity supporting a very special needs school in Bangalore, India.

Insurance for learners from £85 per month
Learner drivers are actually cheaper to insure than someone who has recently passed their driving test.
We recommend that you use Collingwood Learners
who are one of the UK's premier insurers of young drivers. Collingwood Learner Driver Insurance
We believe the best way to become a safe driver is to ensure pupils get the widest experience and exposure of driving before taking their driving test.
The government says that on average a pupil needs 47 hours of lessons with a driving instructor and 22 hours with friends and family. We can provide you with guidance for taking out your kids and spouses, we can give them lessons in your car and even have you sat in the back.

The Theory Test, which now includes the Hazard Perception Test is not as hard as some people think, it just needs a decent bit of study, normally 6 to 10 hours and you should pass just fine.

Why don't you try this free theory test training software, there's not even a need to register your email for the practice sessions.
